Join Dee Meyer and Annie Burnside, author of Soul to Soul Parenting, for an hour of prayer, energy raising, and teaching centered around raising a spiritually conscious family. A former elementary school teacher and a current blogger, she also facilitates Soul-to-Soul Circles. Annie has been called a modern bridge between the mainstream and the mystical, and a soul nurturer. She says Soul-to-Soul is what her work is all about.

Annie begins the hour with a heartfelt prayer of gratitude for all things, both physical and non-physical. The energy of the prayer opens avenues of connection between listeners and speaker.

A child of divorce, she says it was during this painful, trying time in her life that she was introduced to the inner self by her father. She has been on this path since, more than 25 years. With it came the knowledge that it is the inner work that will uplift our world, not the external layers that people spend so much time trying to improve.

Annie says that teaching her own children how to reach inward to make that most important journey was the catalyst for the book. In turn, the book has been available to children living through divorce, death in the family, and the many obstacles that we face as humans. It offers an opportunity for anyone to learn to live in the space she calls “the cross,” where our humanity intersects our soul.

Even as our humanity aches for the hardships and heartaches of life, ultimately peace in the paradoxes of this relative dimension comes from living simultaneously from both sides of our being -- living from the cross.
