In this compelling call, Rabbi Michael Lerner and Steve Farrell spoke about the “Yearning for a World of Love & Peace” material, which establishes that we are all embodiments of the Sacred. This relates directly to our mission and purpose in Humanity’s Team. We see we are all embodiments of the One Presence, the Divine Presence. There is a “deep hunger” for a loving world beyond money and power, a world where we are deeply appreciated, loved, respected (and treated as embodiments of the Sacred). We must create a global society that promotes rather than undermines love and caring relationships.

The Network of Spiritual Progressives rejects as “common sense” a capitalist society with a focus on money and power. Rabbi Lerner proposes building a society around love.The New Bottom Line and Spiritual Covenant proposed by Rabbi Lerner have created a watershed moment. It addresses how we live our lives in every sector including free health care, an Environmental & Social Responsibility Amendment to our Constitution creating a corporate charter (five years) so companies remain accountable to global citizens, a reformed legal system, a Global Marshall Plan to end global poverty, hunger, homelessness and create education and health care and much more.
