LIO 2015 5 Pillars - Andrew Harvey - Christ Consciousness Service Work
1h 0m
Steve Farrell interviews Andrew Harvey in this powerful call. Service work -- now being upleveled into sacred activism -- is an enormously important focus point for Andrew Harvey. Andrew is the author of more than 30 books and a teacher who places his focus on creating compassionate peace within and without. He was featured in the BBC documentary The Making of a Modern Mystic.
When Andrew was in Ladakh, India, he followed the terrible floods in nearby Kashmir. It was one of the worst natural disasters in recent years. Andrew subsequently learned that friends' homes were destroyed and their businesses and livelihood were threatened.
Inspired to act under these tragic circumstances, Andrew conceived of a vision to raise funds to support four families in rebuilding from this disaster and to help reconstruct a school for girls that had been demolished. This vision became the plan for Sacred Activism Kashmir Project. Andrew put together a team of builders and masons in Kashmir to do the necessary work of rebuilding at reasonable prices.
His desire to create a caring, compassionate world while bringing divine love to the heart of every individual is embodied in his life and teaching. He is the founder and director of the Institute of Sacred Activism where leaders and social justice advocates are trained, ensuring that Andrew Harvey's caring and compassion will continue in the mental and spiritual world long after this generation has passed on.
Join Steve Farrell in this call as he talks with Andrew about Sacred Activism and Rediscovering the Christ Path.
