In this module, Bruce will explore the history of the planet’s 5 previous mass extinction events, caused by natural forces (tectonic plate movement, massive earthquakes, volcanic activity, and planetary collisions with comets and asteroids) that led to a loss of up to 90% of all species on Earth. He will then focus on the reasons we are facing the 6th mass extinction — this one clearly caused by human behavior — and the 4 incorrect yet fundamental “myth perceptions” that have misprogrammed civilization and brought us to this dangerous edge. He will also show you how to take Albert Einstein’s quote that “We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them” to heart and why this must be embraced on a global scale for us to have any chance of avoiding the 6th Mass Extinction Event.
