As founder of Ethical Markets Media, Hazel speaks about her work to bring change to the old economic system centered on profit, shifting to a new paradigm where people and planet come first. She offers a vision of a greener, more ethical and equitable economy that acknowledges the interdependence of all life.
Interviewed by John Thomas, Hazel discusses one of the tools Ethical Markets Media offers, the Green Transition Scoreboard, that helps people make the transition to more ethical investing including investing in locally owned companies.
She elaborates: “It's called mapping the global transition to the solar age, which is really where we're all going, which is robust local homegrown economies all over the planet and all linked by the new media and the new social networks and the new television and means of communication with each other. That's always been my vision.”
Hazel Henderson is the founder of Ethical Markets Media and the creator and co-executive producer of its TV series. She is a world-renowned futurist, evolutionary economist, a worldwide syndicated columnist, and a consultant on sustainable development. She's the author of a number of books including, Ethical Markets: Growing the Green Economy.
